Matric and O Level, side by side

Configuration, never a fork

A profile sets the level ladder, term structure, grading scheme, attendance model and the vocabulary itself. Every value stays editable afterwards.

School management system for Pakistan — Matric, FSc and Cambridge

Playgroup to Intermediate on the national ladder, with an O and A Level stream running beside it in the same tenant — BISE and FBISE formats, shortage lists, Friday and Ramadan timings, and Urdu output.

The ladder, as Pakistani schools actually run it

CampusFlo ships the national ladder as a preset, and every level stays editable. Promotion targets, section naming and roll-number formats all follow from it.

Early yearsPlaygroup → PrepPlaygroup, Nursery, Prep or KG
PrimaryClass 1–5Section-based, daily attendance
MiddleClass 6–8Subject teachers, entrance testing common
MatricClass 9–10Board registration, Science or Arts
IntermediateClass 11–12FSc, FA, ICS or ICom

Terms, grading and attendance

These are the defaults the Pakistan profile applies at setup. All of them stay editable afterwards, and changing one never rewrites history — it changes the default for the next academic year.

Terms and year

  • Two or three terms per academic year
  • Year starts April or August, set at setup
  • Summer and winter vacations on the calendar
  • A Ramadan window that shortens periods for its date range

Grading

  • Percentage with A1, A, B, C, D and E bands
  • Board marks out of 1100 or 1200 for Matric and Intermediate
  • Separate theory and practical components with their own maxima
  • Continuous assessment against terminal exam, commonly a 20/80 split

Attendance

  • Daily marking, with period-wise available per level
  • Biometric, RFID and QR gate punches feeding the register
  • Shortage-of-attendance lists before board examinations
  • The 75% eligibility rule flagged per student per term

The words on screen are your words

A vocabulary pack maps every domain term to the word your school uses, across menus, forms, prints and notifications. Nothing here is a translation layer — these are the product’s own field labels.

Two streams, one tenant

This is the reason profiles are configuration rather than separate products. A school running a national section and a Cambridge section runs both ladders side by side, with one student record each.

Matric and O Level, running together

Each stream keeps its own level ladder, term structure and grading scheme. A student belongs to one of them, but the school runs one system, one staff directory, one fee structure and one set of reports.

National stream
  • Playgroup → Class 12
  • Percentage with A1–E bands
  • BISE or FBISE registration
  • Matric and Intermediate result formats
  • Urdu secondary language
Cambridge stream
  • Nursery → Year 13
  • A*–E, and 9–1 for IGCSE
  • Cambridge candidate entries
  • Three terms with subject options
  • Form and tutor-group vocabulary

What changes in each module

Regional behaviour is not a setting buried in one place. These are the modules that change when the Pakistan profile is applied.

Questions from Pakistani schools

Can we run Matric and O Level in the same system?
Yes, and this is the main reason to choose a configurable product. Each stream keeps its own ladder, terms and grading scheme, while the school runs one staff directory, one set of reports and one student record per child. A student belongs to one stream; the institution runs both.
Does it produce BISE and FBISE formats?
Board registration lists and candidate entries are configurable exports per board, and roll-number slips and result formats are templates. The School Leaving Certificate is issued in the board’s format with a serial number and a QR verification page.
How does the 75% attendance rule work?
Set the eligibility threshold for the level and the system flags students below it per term, so the shortage list exists before the board deadline rather than after. The list prints with each student’s percentage and their guardian’s contact details.
Do we get Urdu on report cards and notices?
Yes. Urdu can be configured as the secondary language, so report cards, notices and messages carry a second language alongside English. The interface itself supports right-to-left rendering.
Does it work with our biometric attendance machines?
Punches arrive as a CSV export or pushed from the device to an API, matched to students by code, with first-in and last-out rules turning them into a register mark. Teachers can always mark manually, which is the system of record.
